Successful Young Researchers
25.06.2013At this year’s Nobel Laureate Meeting in Lindau the Institute of Organic Chemistry is particularly well represented by three young researchers.
The 63rd Lindau Nobel Laureate Meeting will entirely focus on chemistry. 35 Nobel Laureates in this discipline accepted the invitation to Lindau for having discussions about current research trends, e.g. Green Chemistry, with more than 600 outstanding young researchers from 78 countries.
With regard to this the Institute of Organic Chemistry of the University of Würzburg is represented extremely well. Besides junior research group leader Gustavo Fernández, the two postgraduates Nadja Bertleff (Seibel group) and David Bialas (Würthner group) are two other successful candidates. Moreover, David Bialas was interviewed by the "Bayerischer Rundfunk" about the nobel laureate meeting. Please follow this informative link: www.br.de/nachrichten/energie-lindau-solar100.html
Further participants from Würzburg are the postgraduates Federico Koch (Institute of Physical and Theoretical Chemistry), Thessa Lühmann (Institute of Pharmacy and Food Chemistry) and Katharina Fucke (Institute of Inorganic Chemistry).
The journal Scientific American portrays 30 attendees, among them Nadja Bertleff and David Bialas.
