Research Interests

Our research interests are focused on the synthesis and detailed characterization of non-conventional molecular bismuth compounds. The unusual characteristics of these complexes are exploited in the fields of (1) organic and organometallic synthesis and catalysis, (2) polymerization catalysis, and (3) the synthesis of novel oligo- and polymeric compounds containing heavy p-block elements.

Methods and Techniques

Inorganic, organometallic, and organic synthesis. 1D, 2D and heteronuclear NMR-, UV/Vis-, and IR spectroscopy, mass spectrometry, gel permeation chromatography, cyclic voltammetry, differential pulse voltammetry, single crystal X-ray diffraction, DFT calculations.
