Research Interests

Motivated by a specific interest in regenerative medicine, our research activities focus on the design novel engineered therapeutic proteins to develop bioresponsive drug release systems, releasing drugs as a result of an external, biochemical stimulus in diseased tissues.  In the field of protein formulation, we explore novel and innovative methods to gain further insights into protein stability and sites of modification at the molecular level.

Methods and Techniques

Recombinant, synthetic and semi-synthetic peptide and protein synthesis, genetic code expansion, site-specific protein modification, bioorthogonal chemistries, PEGylation, bioresponsive drug delivery, mass spectrometr.
