A New Award for Dr. Gustavo Fernández
03/24/2014Congratulations to Sofja-Kovalevskaja Awardee Dr. Gustavo Fernández Huertas. Due to his excellent research results, which were published in top chemistry journals and also received attention at international conferences, he was chosen as the very first awardee of the newly established “Keck-Köppe-Förderstiftung” with 5000 €.
The basic concept of the award, namely to support young scientists but also musicians, was started by Hans-Joachim Köppe and his spouse Elisabeth Keck, who unfortunately died last year. Hans-Joachim Köppe ensured the continuation and implementation of the foundation’s goals and could thus award the prize for the first time this year.
With this prize Dr. Fernández-Huertas is supposed to support his own research activities, which are mainly dedicated to “Self-Sorting in Supramolecular Aggregates”, “Aqueous Self-Sorting”, “BODIPY Dye Aggregates and OPE-Bases Metallosupramolecular Polymers”.
