Congolese scientists visit the Institute of Organic Chemistry
11/28/2007For about 3 weeks from end of November the Congolese Professors Dibungi Kalenda and Virima Mudogo (University of Kinshasa) visit the Institute of Organic Chemistry.
Prof. Kalenda is the head of the department of medicinal chemistry and pharmaceutical biology at the university of Kinshasa. The chemist Mudogo, who gained his doctorate at the university of Würzburg, now is Vice-President of the University of Kinshasa. Both have long been engaged in productive cooperation with their current host Gerhard Bringmann, who specialises in natural products chemistry and coordinates the SFB 630 "Recognition, Preparation, and Functional Analysis of Agents against Infectious Diseases".
