07/16/2015Frank Würthner recently has become a member of the editorial board of Organic Chemistry Frontiers. He will particularly strengthen the area of functional organic molecules.
Organic Chemistry Frontiers was founded in 2014 as an enterprising collaboration between the Chinese Chemical Society and the Royal Society of Chemistry. The intention is to collaborate with a top Chinese institute in the relevant field. For Organic Chemistry Frontiers, this is the Shanghai Institute of Organic Chemistry (SIOC).
Topics include, but are not limited to the following.

- Development of synthetic methodologies
- Catalysis
- Natural products
- Functional organic materials
- Supramolecular and macromolecular chemistry
- Physical and computational organic chemistry
A scientific portrait of Frank Würthner can be found on the journal's homepage. The Royal Society also published an article about the new Associate Editor in their blog.
