Fantastic Company Outing to the Rhön Mountains

Two busses were needed to take almost 90 participants to the Wasserkuppe, the highest mountain in the Rhön, located in Hesse. The view was fantastic at 9 o'clock in the morning, still with impressive fog banks in the depressions to the west and north. In addition, the summer toboggan run was much fun and provided the best atmosphere.

At lunchtime, the busses brought everybody back across the border to the Bavarian Rhön, to the Kreuzberg, the holy mountain of the Franconian people. Refueled by monastery beer and Franconian dishes, most participants climbed the steps to the three Golgotha crosses on the summit to enjoy another wonderful view and to do some hiking. After a final group photo in front of the buses, all went back to Würzburg in the late afternoon.
