High Tech for teaching and science

Most recent technology is on hand for teaching and science in the theoretical chemistry building on the Hubland Campus Nord. For CPU based calculations a CPU-Cluster in operation which performs its duty with a total clock speed of over 1 THz in the server room of the computer center.

As modern graphics processors are more suitable for parallel data processing and therefore providing significantly more computing power, a cluster for GPU-applications is under construction.

More than two dozens of computer workstations are available, some of which are provided with modern 3D visualization technology.

In addition to the beamers, which are installed in every seminar room, an interactive whiteboard system can be utilized.
