mit dem Titel:

 "Molecular Carbon Imides"

Abstract:

The creation and development of new forms of nanocarbons have fundamentally transformed the scientific landscape in the past three decades. As new members of nanocarbon family with accurate size, shape and edge-structures, molecular carbon imides (IMCs) have shown unexpected and unique properties. Particularly, the imide functionalization strategy has endowed these rylene-based molecular carbons with fascinating “3S” characteristics: (1) synthetic flexibility, (2) striking properties, and (3) superior processibility. This talk will focus on the promising library of tailor-made MCIs with rigidly conjugated π-architectures, ranging from 1D graphene nanoribbons and 2D graphene nanosheets to quasi-3D graphene nano-frames, and even to cross-dimensional molecular carbons. Although MCIs have achieved substantial progress as functional components for exploration of the charge transport, photo-electric conversion, and chiral luminescence properties, they are far from unleashing their full potential.
