A visit in Turin

Two weeks ago, Ann-Christin visited Università degli Studi di Torino in Italy as an examiner of the doctoral thesis of Federica Bravetti. Under the supervision of Prof. Michele R. Chierotti and Prof. Carlo Nervi, Federica successfully defended her thesis titled “Solid-state NMR, prediction and diffraction: a promising ménage à trois for crystal structure determination of small organic molecules”, earning her a degree with honors. Alongside Ann-Christin other examiners were present, Prof. Martin U. Schmidt from the University of Frankfurt and Prof. Piero Ugliengo from the University of Turin. Accompanied by interesting scientific discussions among the different researchers and guests, the stay at the University of Turin was both scientifically and personally a very rewarding time.
